| The Bermuda leg of the Tall Ships 2000
race is now history, but provided many fond memories for all Bermudians and those who
visited the island during that week. Our young people, who had the wonderful
opportunity to be trainees on the various ships, will never forget their time sailing on
the open seas. The many volunteers,
who did so much to plan, organise and implement the Bermuda side of this prestigious
event, are to be congratulated for a first class job. This was a task of tremendous
proportions but, thanks to our volunteers, it went off without a hitch. Top marks
were given to Bermuda by ISTA, as well as the captains of each tall ship.
